Senate Ethics Committee Chairman Imasuen, Who Suspended Natasha, Lost Law Practice Licence In New York Over Misconduct.

Neda Imasuen, the Chairman of the Nigerian Senate Committee on Ethics, has reportedly been permanently disbarred from practicing law in New York, U.S., due to allegations of multimillion-dollar fraud and gross misconduct.

According to reports from Peoples Gazette, Imasuen lost his legal license after swindling a client, Daphne Shyfield, in 2009. He allegedly accepted legal fees but failed to appear in court on her behalf, leaving her without representation.

Instead of facing the disciplinary process, he reportedly fled to Nigeria with Ms. Shyfield’s funds.

The New York Grievance Committee made multiple attempts to reach him but ultimately revoked his legal license on May 10, 2010.

A court ruling confirmed that Imasuen’s name was stricken from the roll of attorneys, barring him from practicing law in any capacity.
