A massive crowd of supporters, traditional rulers, and community leaders gathered to celebrate Chief Dr. Amos Gizo’s appointment as Chairman of the Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority, following his inauguration by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The jubilant welcome took place in Gidgid, Kanam LGA of Plateau State during the Easter Celebration, where Chief Dr. Gizo used the opportunity and paid a courtesy visit to the people of Gwamlar to offer condolences over the death of Garkuwa Gwamlar Idris Muhammed.
During the visit, Chief Dr. Gizo emphasized the importance of unity and love between Christians and Muslims, encouraging the community to continue fostering harmonious relationships.
Chief Dr. Gizo, who is also the Coordinating Chairman of Chairmen of the 12 River Basin Development Authorities also pledged to provide empowerment and projects during his tenure, while calling on the people of Kanam, Plateau and the North Central region to support the Tinubu administration which he said has done a lot for the Region within a short period of time.
