The Cultural Middle-Belt Renaissance Forum (CMRF) has commended Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, a renowned Middle-Belt patriot and philanthropist, for single-handedly funding the newly asphalted tarred road at the pipeline area of Ilorin, Kwara State, North Central Nigeria.
The commendation follows the recent commissioning ceremony of the project, which drew widespread attention and acclaim from Nigerians.
In a statement signed by the National Secretary of the group, Prince I.D. Onucheyo, the CMRF described the project as a landmark initiative that has significantly enhanced the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the pipeline road area.
According to the group, the project’s funding by Dr. Olawepo-Hashim underscores his commitment to community development, social welfare, and the empowerment of marginalized communities. “Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim’s philanthropic endeavors have had a profound impact on the lives of numerous individuals and families, inspiring hope, opportunities, and positive change in the Middle-Belt region and beyond” they said.
The CMRF also commended esteemed dignitaries, including former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency Obong Victor Attah, who commissioned the project, and former Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido and Other notable personalities from Kwara State and beyond who also attended the ceremony.
The group appealed to the people of the area to cherish and make good use of the new road, while also calling on other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate Dr. Olawepo-Hashim’s gesture by investing in community development projects that benefit marginalized communities.
