Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N1 billion to support victims of the renewed attacks in Plateau State through the Renewed Hope initiative.
The donation was announced on Thursday in Jos, the Plateau State capital, during her visit to the state.
Upon arrival, the First Lady was received by Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, at the Plateau State Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos.
During her visit, she appealed to all stakeholders to do everything in their power to ensure peace reigns in the state.
While responding, Governor Caleb Mutfwang expressed gratitude for the First Lady’s kind gesture and pledged to do everything possible to restore peace to the state.
He vowed to ensure that the funds are used appropriately to meet the needs of the victims, with no misappropriation.
The donation is expected to provide relief to the victims of the attacks and support the state’s efforts to rebuild and restore peace in the affected communities.
