BREAKING: Terrorists Vnvades Catholic School In Niger state, Abduct Several Students, Staff

Gunmen suspected to be terrorists have invaded St. Mary’s Catholic School in Niger State, abducting an unconfirmed number of students and staff.

The attack occurred between 2:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. local time, with reports suggesting over 100 students might have been taken by the terrorist from the school which is located in Papiri community, Agwara Local Government Area.

The Head of Disaster and Relief in Agwara Local Government, Ahmed Abdullahi Rofia, confirmed the attack, stating that authorities are still assessing the situation to determine the exact number of abductees.

The Niger State Police Command spokesperson, Wasiu Abiodun, said they are investigating and will provide further details later.

This incident follows a similar attack in Maga, Kebbi State, where 25 students were kidnapped, highlighting concerns about escalating insecurity in educational institutions across the region.
