The Northern Youth for Good Leadership & Governance (NYGLG) has conferred an Award of Excellence on Chief Dr. Amos Gizo, Chairman of the Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to nation-building.
The award, presented by Comrade Bashir Auwal, Leader of NYGLG, cited Dr. Gizo’s immense contributions to youth empowerment, human transformation, educational development, and prudent resource management.
The group commended Dr. Gizo’s selfless commitment to unifying Nigerians and promoting good governance.
In his response, Dr. Gizo expressed gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed his dedication to youth empowerment and social development.
He outlined his strategic plan to revamp the Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority, aiming to boost food production in the country.
Dr. Gizo also reflected on the importance of good governance, citing his own experiences with free education, medical services, meals, and transportation in the past.
He urged leaders to prioritize the welfare of citizens, particularly in education, and expressed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to revamping key sectors of the economy.
