Plateau State Governor, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment in the state.
Represented by Secretary to the Government of the State, Samuel Jatau, Governor Mutfwang made this assurance during a State Action on Business Enabling Reforms (SABER) technical session and statewide town hall meeting in Jos.
The Governor emphasized that the ease of doing business has become a top priority for the state government, noting that significant progress has been made in implementing actionable reforms to attract investors and promote economic growth.
He vowed to make Plateau State one of the most business-friendly states in Nigeria.
The Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), established in 2016 to drive Nigeria’s business environment reform, is working to improve the ease of doing business in the country.
PEBEC’s Director-General, Zaharh Mustapha Audu, explained that the nationwide subnational tour aims to strengthen state-level ownership of reform initiatives and deepen SABER implementation.
The World Bank representative commended PEBEC for prioritizing the private sector’s role in its programs, noting that this is central to promoting economic growth and development.
The interactive sessions with stakeholders in Plateau State assessed the state’s business reform progress and reaffirmed the commitment of government, private sectors, and development partners to creating a more enabling and competitive business environment.
