The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that its National Executive Committee (NEC) will convene on July 24, 2025, to nominate a new National Chairman, following the resignation of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje last Friday.
This was disclosed on Monday during 174th National Working Committee meeting of the Party, led by the acting National Chairman Ali Bukar Dalori, after the National Working Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) officially acknowledged and accepted the resignation of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the former national Chairman of the Party.
Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, who has taken over as Acting National Chairman, reaffirmed his commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s administration, assuring party members of his dedication to the party’s ideals and agenda, a development that marks a significant shift in the party’s leadership dynamics.
The NEC meeting which was crucial brought together top party stakeholders, including President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio, to deliberate on the party’s future direction.
In accordance with the party’s constitutional procedures and electoral guidelines, a formal notice of the NEC meeting has been sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), proposing July 24 to Replace Ganduje.
This ensures that all necessary protocols are observed and that the party’s processes are transparent and compliant with regulatory requirements.
