The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has witnessed a significant transition in Plateau State with the official handover ceremony between Dr. Oliver Agundu, the outgoing Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), and Mallam Abubakar Sadiq, his successor.
Sadiq brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as INEC’s Administrative Secretary in Kogi State before his redeployment from Kwara State.
As a seasoned official from Niger State, he is well-positioned to lead INEC’s operations in Plateau State, ensuring the smooth execution of electoral processes and upholding the integrity of the commission as demonstrate by the former REC Dr Oliver Agundu.
