The Plateau State Government has assured its workers that the ongoing digitalization of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) will not lead to job losses.
This assurance was given on Tuesday by the State Head of Service, Mr. Stephen Pam, during the Plateau State 2025 Ministerial Press Briefing in Jos, the State Capital.
Mr. Pam emphasized that Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s administration prioritizes workers’ welfare, highlighting that salaries and pensions are up to date. He also noted that the Governor has directed the implementation of the N70,000 minimum wage across the state.
The Head of Service praised the administration for promoting industrial harmony since its inception. He added that the government has consistently remitted check-off dues to unions, demonstrating its commitment to maintaining a positive relationship with workers.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Commerce, Mr. S. Nyelung, has disclosed that the state’s export earnings have increased by 5% under Governor Mutfwang’s leadership.
Earlier in a welcome address, the state Commissioner for information and communication Hon Joyce Ramnap, said the Barrister Caleb Mutfwang administration is working out policies and programmes aimed at making the lives of the citizens better.
Hon. Ramnap explained, that this is not not just another briefing, but a bold and transparent stock taking exercise, where Ministries, Departments and Agencies will lay bare their scorecards highlighting the work done under the dynamic leadership of His Excellency, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, over the past two years.
