President Bola Tinubu has made several key appointments to establish the leadership team of the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, Kaduna State.
Bishop Matthew Kukah, the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, has been appointed as the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council.
Other notable appointments include:- Vice Chancellor: Prof. Qurix Williams Barnabas- Registrar: Sanusi Gambo Adamu- Bursar: Ibrahim Dalhat- University Librarian: Prof. Daniel Abubakar.
Additionally, President Tinubu has appointed members to the university’s Governing Council, representing different regions of Nigeria:- North Central: Mr. Thomas Etuh- South East: Chief Fabian Nwaora- *South West*: Prof. Femi Taiwo- North East: Zarah Bukar.

the appointees were chosen for their distinguished careers, leadership experience, and dedication to advancing education in Nigeria.
The President also urged them to provide visionary leadership and establish the university as a hub for academic excellence and research.
The university, formerly known as Nok University, is set to admit its first cohort of students in September 2025 .
