Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has officially presented the Staff of Office to His Royal Majesty, Barr. Alheri Bulus Nyako, marking his inauguration as the first Tol Hoba of the newly created Hoba Chiefdom.
During the coronation ceremony, Governor Fintiri emphasized the historical significance of the event, highlighting that the Hoba Kingdom existed in pre-colonial Nigeria but was later reduced to a district. He commended the resilience of the Hoba people, who have been advocating for a graded chiefdom for over a century.
Governor Fintiri reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, emphasizing that the creation of new emirates and chiefdoms aims to promote unity, strengthen local governance, and enhance security.
He also urged the new monarch to unite all ethnic groups under his rule and leverage education and sports for regional development.
In recognition of Governor Fintiri’s contributions to the creation of the Hoba Chiefdom, the new monarch bestowed on him the prestigious title of MIDALA of Hoba Chiefdom (Defence Minister), further strengthening his bond with the people of Hong.
