Authorities on Friday confirmed the arrest of kidnappers responsible for the murder of Hon. Justice Azuka, who was brutally killed on December 26, 2024.
In a shocking twist, the gang withdrew a staggering ₦100 million from his account before shooting him twice in the head.
Investigations revealed that a nurse based in Asaba played a crucial role in assisting the kidnappers in withdrawing the funds. Furthermore, a native doctor from Asaba was found to be preparing charms for the gang.
The alleged gang leader was surprisingly found living inside the native doctor’s shrine before security opretives successfully apprehended all the six members of the gang with none of them above 30 years old.
The nurse and the native doctor have also been taken into custody, with the nurse’s pharmacy sealed. Interestingly, all but one of the suspects resided in Asaba, with one member living in Oba.
In a disturbing discovery, authorities found more than three other bodies alongside Hon. Azuka’s remains, highlighting the gang’s ruthless nature.
