The announcement of Innocent Idibia, commonly known as 2Face and Annie Idibia’s divorce after 12 years of marriage has provoked heated reactions from celebrities, including actress Mary Remmy Njoku and media personality Toke Makinwa.
Njoku rushed to Instagram to blame 2Face for announcing the split at a time when Annie was already suffering public criticism for her presence on a reality TV show and also accused 2Face of humiliating his wife when she was at her lowest.
She wrote, “Bro, Annie has a family o! Your sisters-in-law are many, and we’ve stayed quiet out of respect for her tough choices. But since you’ve decided to humiliate her at her lowest, no wahala. It’s your choice. Just make sure she’s healthy and okay. Because when the time comes, we’ll have plenty of questions for you!”
Toke Makinwa also called out 2Face for making the announcement public, saying he should be ashamed.
She wrote, “This is wrong on all levels, and you should be ashamed of yourself for bringing this here. Bring it on, if you think she’s alone, let me tell you now that you’ll have to fight all of us.”
Ifedayo Agoro, a businesswoman, also reacted, claiming 2Face had mistreated Annie for years and should not have exacerbated the situation by publicly announcing the divorce.
She wrote, “First they groom you, then you lose yourself, and finally they dump you.” I’m so angry! I don’t typically discuss stuff like this, but this man’s behavior is horrible.
“In a time when this woman is already being insulted, you had to say this? Knowing you’ve been embarrassing her publicly for years? Why now? Why make things worse for her?
“Never ever choose a man over yourself. No one is INDISPENSABLE! Gosh!”
